21 Healthier Game Day Recipes
Each October Mr. Mom’s Kitchen makes a pilgrimage to the great state of Texas for the annual match up of the Oklahoma Sooners against the Texas Longhorns. He eats very bad food, gets a sunburn, loses his voice, and judging from his breath when he arrives home, takes in his weight in cheap beer.
This year is different: He’s not making the trek Southeast for the big event, but staying local. I imagine he will still put back a few beers, will likely sneak Doritos into my living room, and will certainly hoop and holler himself voiceless. But I’ve gathered together 21 healthier game day recipes that fill the bill for party fare, without the post-party heartburn.

My mom is a HUGE football fan but only has chips and onion dip when she watches her games. I will have to introduce her to some of these ideas to vary her menu up a little.

Okay, I can’t even decide what to make first but it’s between the Moroccan Hummus and the Sriracha Popcorn…yum! 🙂

Maybe make the popcorn to dip in the hummus? Multi-cultural snacking!
