Strawberry Guava Smoothie
Here goes installation number two in my summer smoothie series. This Strawberry Guava Smoothie is one I developed for Cooking Light Magazine. It is very much a kid-pleaser sort of smoothie that makes a tasty afternoon pick-me-up. It can also be poured into pop molds and put in the freezer for several hours for a colorful frozen treat.

Katie, what type of strawberry yogurt do you reccomend for this smoothie? Is there one that doesn’t have a lot of added sugar?

Hi Mindy,
Good question. Since brands vary by region, I’m including a link below to Fooducate, which evaluates the nutrition of food. This link will take you to their page on yogurt. Generally speaking, Stonyfield is a national brand I like since it’s organic, doesn’t use artificial ingredients, and tends to be lower in sugar than some of the others out there. http://www.fooducate.com/app#page=product-search&term=strawberry+yogurt
