Fresh Fig and Yogurt Snack
This little recipe is proof that sometimes simple is best. All that’s needed are three very wholesome ingredients and an appetite. Oh, and it needs to be fig season, which happens here in the U.S. exactly twice a year: for the first few weeks of June and in the fall from about August to October. Take advantage when you see fresh, juicy fruit to make this easy fig recipe. They’re naturally sweet as well as nutritious. Two large figs deliver nearly 4 grams of fiber along with a bundle of minerals, which put a nice dent in your daily requirements. Top with a spoonful of yogurt and a drizzle of honey for a light breakfast or delicious between-meal pick-me-up.

Fresh, flavorful, ripe figs, a spoonful of Greek yogurt, and a drizzle of honey is all that's required here. But if you happen to have chopped hazelnuts, sliced almonds, or favorite seeds on hand, scatter them over the top for a little crunchy finish.

Ingredients
- 2 large ripe figs
- 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
- Honey
- 2 teaspoons sliced almonds , pumpkin seeds, or hemp seeds

Split the figs in half through the stem. Lay cut-side-up on your work surface. Spoon 1 tablespoon of yogurt onto each fig half. Drizzle each lightly with honey. Sprinkle with nuts or seeds, if desired. Store fresh, ripe figs in the refrigerator until ready to use.
